Following up on our previous announcement, today we are transferring accounts and land held by 16- and 17-year-olds in Teen Second Life to Second Life’s Main Grid. 13-15 users not affiliated with an organization will not be transferring, but we are excited to see you inworld when the time comes!
Overview. The Teen Grid existed as a segregated area from the original Second Life world (Main Grid, which was initially restricted to persons aged 18+), from February the 13th 2005 to January 20th 2011.

Second Life’s Teen Grid opened in 2005 and was designed to accommodate 13- to 17-year-olds, with all the 3D virtual world benefits of Second Life, while isolating them from the perils associated with mixing s with adults without supervision.
